A Talk on Non-duality - How Can We Think About God?

How Can We Think About God?

7pm Thursday 13 February 2020

at Shanti Sadan
29 Chepstow Villas, London W11 3DR (map)

Admission free, all welcome

God, Brahman, the Absolute or whatever name we use for the highest Reality, defies our attempts at thought and speech, and yet is the aim of all our endeavours.

In our meditations, reflection and reverence, we need a focus, yet one that does not prevent us from progressing to a deeper and more universal understanding.

How best then to think or speak of this supreme principle? The non-dual teachings cast much light on this question.

Registration is not required, but it will help us with organisation to know that you are thinking of coming. Thanks for letting us know!

Non-duality (in Sanskrit, Advaita Vedanta) is a way of understanding the world and ourselves, closely connected with practical methods of gaining a deeper Self-knowledge and new sources of fulfilment.

Meditation – Less Thought, More Light

As long as our mind is brimful with worldly preoccupations, the inner secret of happiness does not reveal itself.

But when we turn within in meaningful quietude, we connect with the ultimate light of our being, and find the path to true freedom.
